Surrounding Me

The project emerged during the pandemic, born from Analize Nicolini's need to stay connected to her artistic work and continue producing. Driven by a personal restlessness, linked to the pressure of creating from her home amidst the emergence of brilliant ideas from so many other isolated artists, Nicolini was compelled to create art from her immediate surroundings. She documented confessions, revelations, and interpretations within her own particular universe, the one closest to her.

Whether captured with a camera or a phone, the images of intimacy in Analize's daily life end up revealing fragments of her identity. They are reflections of her loneliness, as well as tools to cope with it. They are also (re)encounters with reminiscences of a past filled with stories and experiences, and with images of the present that foreshadow a horizon of expectations.

In this way, from the period of isolation, "Debris of an Intimacy" became a companion for the artist and continues to structurally support and empower Nicolini's promising production, while from that limited horizon and her intimate space, the reverse emerges for the collector.
