This post is, theoretically, about saying who I am. But who am I, really?! After so much and so many things! A deep question. For me, the answer "I am this person speaking to you right now" will suffice. Because there are so many moments out there and within... fragments? sparkles? spasms? laughter? Definitely more laughter. Bits and pieces. I am a patchwork human — just like you. Let’s update.

Here, and from here, come fine art photography, contemporary artworks, curatorships, projects, opinions, music, food, and good stories. All of this, and so much more, has been with me wherever I go, for quite some time. I turned 50, but I look younger. I take care of myself, I treat myself well. I don’t have children, but for a time, I had a wonderful stepson who made that dream come true. I was widowed by my first husband; together, we owned a book publishing house that won the Jabuti Prize. I was born in Rondônia but have lived in Curitiba since I was 13.

An economist with a postgraduate degree in marketing, I worked for Curitiba’s City Hall, in the pharmaceutical industry, as a marketing manager, an entrepreneur, and then went to study photography in 2009. Later, curatorship in 2011. I spent some time without producing much, in seclusion, due to greater forces — tragedies and love! I resumed with full strength in 2018 with the Luzes do Leblon project, born from pain and contemplation. I completed a postgraduate degree and other courses at Parque Lage; I spent a good part of that reclusive period preparing myself there, like Jesus Christ at 33? I went abroad to study, spent time in Venice, and created an intense and profound connection with the city and many people in my orbit. In Los Angeles, I learned a lot too, but no, I’m not rich. I have to carefully budget and plan to handle so much creativity and love for the world, food, and shelter.

I’ve lived in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro — I even have a bit of bossa. I once had my "Brazilian version of a man in finance" (hedge fund, 6'5, blue eyes).
(song: A Man in Finance - David Guetta; Girl on Couch - Billen Ted).

And at the height of my single days, in search of my balance — now my companion, it solitude — I left my number written in lipstick for Diplo on the DJ booth in Ibiza. He never called me, but honestly, I wouldn’t have gone for it anyway. My heart has been locked away with seven keys for seven years! And yours? Let’s move on.

(song: I Like the Way You Kiss Me - Artemas)

My artistic practice is multidisciplinary, spanning photography, performance, video, installations, and sculptures. I explore themes that traverse identity, memory, and the relationship between humans, the environment, and society. When I create, I seek to friction different fields of knowledge, such as psychology, sociology, and activism, aiming to build better human-to-human relationships. My approach includes reflections on philosophical existential questions, like the inevitability of life’s finitude, as well as environmental, anthropological, and social themes in the Anthropocene era.

I’ll always be myself here, different with each post, well-guided and accompanied. Stay with me, and you are most welcome.

Music to end this post!
